Citrus Syrup

A versatile syrup that adds a burst of citrus flavor to any cocktail.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Zest of 1 lime
  • Zest of 1 orange

Instructions:

  1. In a saucepan, combine water and sugar over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Add the zest of the lemon, lime, and orange to the saucepan. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it cool.
  4. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer to remove the zest, and transfer it to a clean bottle or jar.
  5. Store the syrup in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
